The walls of the kitchen and bathroom are generally covered with tiles. Some owners have put forward a bold idea. There is not much room for the floor cabinets in the kitchen to be exposed after the wall cabinets are installed. They are all very expensive. Wouldn’t it work if you just stick tiles in the exposed areas?

This idea is understandable, but if you want to do this, it will be difficult, and it may not save money compared to tiling.

Only laying a tile in the middle means that part of the base cabinet is not against the wall, and it will not be affected too much for the base cabinet.

For hanging cabinets, it is more difficult. The hanging cabinets are generally installed on the wall. If one part has tiles and the other part has no tiles, it is not easy to operate during installation.

If the tiles are attached to the lower edge of the hanging cabinet, this is good in theory, and the tiles can just hold the hanging cabinet, which can play a fixed role.

But doing so has precise requirements on the height of the hanging cabinet. If the hanging cabinet is made too high, it will not fit well. If the hanging cabinet is made too low, it will not look good. If you want to achieve the final effect, the bricklayer, the kitchen ceiling and the whole house customization , the three parties must be particularly well connected.

If the kitchen base cabinets and wall cabinets are made more, the visible surface of the entire kitchen is only the piece between the base cabinet and the wall cabinet, you can consider using different tiles.

Use cheap ceramic tiles in the hidden interior of floor cabinets and wall cabinets, and you don’t need to pay attention to any specifications, as long as they are pasted and flattened, a large board can be pasted on the leaking wall, such as 800×800 or 750×1500 , In the most ideal state, let the base cabinet cover a few centimeters, and then let the hanging cabinet cover a few centimeters, and most of the tiles are exposed.

Another method is to use the same color or near-color quartz stone in the middle section of the base cabinet and the wall cabinet, and directly brush the waterproof latex paint on the wall without the cabinet.

The biggest problem with this operation is the price of the countertops. For example, the price of quartz stone countertops selected by some owners is more than 1,000 yuan per meter. If you use such expensive countertops, not only will you not save money, but you may also spend more money .
